Charlton Park Estate is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly, in accordance with the new European Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), effective from the 25th May 2018.

We collect relevant data from visitors who visit our website or interact with us. We only collect such data as is necessary for us to communicate effectively about Charlton Park Estate and to fulfil our obligations to the relevant person. Dependent on the category of the relevant person, we will collect:

We will only use the data to communicate about Charlton Park Estate. If you are a Tenant, we collect and process your personal data for the following purposes:
• To manage your tenancy agreement
• To fulfil legal obligations (e.g. Right to Rent checks)
• To maintain the property and communicate with you
• To handle rent payments and resolve any disputes

We only share your data with trusted third parties when necessary. For example, this may include sending your contact details to contractors to arrange a property repair or service visit. At the start of your tenancy, this might include providing your details to the Council Tax department or relevant utility providers.

Your data will only be retained for as long as required and we will manage the deletion or retention of documents in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. You have rights regarding your data, including access, correction and deletion.

RIGHT TO RENT LEGISLATION (ENGLAND)
The UK Government requires landlords in England to complete a Right to Rent check on each adult (over the age of 18) applying to live within the property.

All data is stored securely on our computers, mobile devices and servers, access to which is password protected.
Charlton Park Estate will only share your information to provide information as a legal requirement; we may disclose your personal details if we believe that the law requires us to do so for the following:

• Breaches of security or our Privacy Policy
• Respond to claims against us
• To protect the rights of our customers and employees

Your data will be securely store for no longer than necessary with regards to reasons it was first collected.
